- The board of the Homeowners Association hired our firm because they suspected the previous property manager of stealing over $750,000 dollars of the Association’s funds. We provided forensic audit reviews. This involved three years of reviewing documents including bank statements, expenditure reports and financial statements. At the end of our engagement, we did prove that the manager misappropriated the Association’s assets. We provided a comprehensive report to the board. The board turned the matter over to the Attorney General for prosecution and to the insurance company reimbursed for then for $150,000 of total loss.
Engaged by Las Vistas Homeowners Association
- The board of the Homeowners Association hired our firm because they suspected the previous property management company was engaged in sham dealings. The previous property management company for Las Vistas entered into a multitude of contracts with vendors in order to enrich themselves illegally. The owners claimed that repairs to the property were needed, but we saw no repairs being performed as stated by the management company to the tune of $1,000,000 million dollars. We reviewed numerous boxes of contracts and bank statements. Our findings reached the conclusion that the management company did bilk the Association of $1,5000,000 million dollars. Our analysis helped the association find an additional $200,000 thousand dollars.
